HOMEAAO 2007 Report

AAO (American Academy of Ophthalmology) 2007 in New Orleans

After 2 years from the enormous disaster of "Hurricane Katrina", AAO 2007 was taken place in one of the distress cities New Orleans.
It looked well recovered around the down town however in residential areas which are a little away from the down town seemed still suffering.

According to the AAO officials, the total number of registration of the annual meeting was 25168. This number is not as many as the last meeting in the same place in 2004, but was not far below. It evidenced the recovery of the city.

At this time AAO, our aims were set as follows:

1. Introduction of digital solution series featuring L-0541DC digital video camera beam splitter, Claio the image filing software, newly developed L-0229 slit lamp for digital video camera and digital single reflex camera adaptor.

2. Further promotion of our unique surgical instruments to the previous meeting with some new products.

This time we designed a linear booth in order to approach doctors from a perspective of a surgical instruments manufacture. We used 2 flat screen TVs to display digital images in the software "Claio", which are captured by "L-0541DC" and demo video of our surgical instruments.
Many doctors stopped by and looked our product quite closely and we had many chances to have conversation with them.
In 2008, we are planning to exhibit booths at ESCRS 2008 in Berlin, and at AAO 2008 in Atlanta. We are looking forward to seeing as many people as we can to introduce even more exciting new products and information.
